Building Memory Card One Save File At A Time

If you've been following along with my journey lately, you've probably heard me mention a project called Memory Card. What started as a simple idea has slowly grown into something much bigger than I originally imagined.

As creators, we often get excited about showing everyone what we're working on the moment we create it. Trust me, I'm guilty of that. There have been plenty of times throughout this process where I wanted to share every beat, every visual, every idea, and every piece of artwork the second it was finished.

But Memory Card has taught me something important: some projects deserve time to breathe.

The inspiration behind this project comes from something that has been a huge part of my life for as long as I can remember—video games. Not just playing them, but the memories attached to them. The feeling of turning on a console after school. The sounds of a startup screen. The excitement of loading a save file and continuing an adventure that felt larger than life.

Back then, a memory card wasn't just a piece of plastic. It held progress. It held stories. It held accomplishments. It represented time invested into something you cared about.

In a way, this project feels very similar.

Every beat on Memory Card represents a moment in time. Every track captures a piece of inspiration, a creative decision, or a memory that helped shape this project into what it has become. Some ideas came together quickly, while others took multiple revisions before they felt right.

What makes this project special to me is that it combines two worlds that have influenced who I am today: music and gaming.

Both have always been forms of escape, creativity, and self-expression. Whether I was learning how to make beats, exploring a new game world, or building a community through streaming, those experiences all played a role in creating this project.

That is why I decided to release No Memory Card Inserted first.

I wanted people to experience the introduction before loading the main save file. Consider it the startup screen before the adventure begins. A small glimpse into the world I'm building before Memory Card officially arrives.

The closer we get to release day, the more excited I become. Not because the project is almost finished, but because I'll finally be able to share something I've spent so much time creating with all of you.

For now, the save file is still loading.

There are still a few things left to unlock.

Until next time,

Paging Dr. Juan
